Services:
I provide two primary services related to Mandarin language education:
Mandarin Instruction and Tutoring for Children Attending Mandarin Immersion School:
This service is designed for children enrolled in Mandarin Immersion schools who require additional support to master their schoolwork. It includes both Mandarin language instruction and tutoring tailored to the school curriculum.Mandarin Instruction for Children Not Enrolled in Mandarin Immersion School:
For children who are not currently attending a Mandarin school, I offer a customized curriculum designed to develop their Mandarin language skills. Typically, students work with me for 1.5 hours per week, with an optional additional 1.5 hours per week dedicated to homework and practice.
Rates:
Please note: The rates listed include both the instructional fee and classroom reservation fee. The additional hourly fee specified is the classroom reservation fee, which is non-refundable.
Weekday Pricing:
One-on-One Private Tutoring: $105 per hour plus an additional $15 per hour
One-on-Two Semi-Private Tutoring: $75 per hour per student plus an additional $7.50 per hour per student
One-on-Three Small Group Sessions: $65 per hour per student plus an additional $5 per hour per student
Weekend Pricing:
One-on-One Private Tutoring: $105 per hour plus an additional $20 per hour
One-on-Two Semi-Private Tutoring: $75 per hour per student plus an additional $10 per hour per student
One-on-Three Small Group Sessions: $65 per hour per student plus an additional $7.50 per hour per student
Available Time Slots:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM (Available for Parents Check-ins)
Monday to Friday: 1:45 PM – 6:00 PM (Fully Booked)
Sunday: 8:15 AM-9:45 AM (Open for Drop-in or Make-up Class upon request)
Sunday: 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM (Fully Booked)
Saturday: 8:15 AM - 9:45 AM (Fully Booked)
Saturday: 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM (Fully Booked)
Trial Classes:
Trial classes are generally offered at the conclusion of each academic year, from May to June, subject to availability. Although the instructional fee for trial sessions is waived, families are required to remit a non-refundable classroom reservation fee of $20 per hour to confirm their trial spot.
Payment Terms and Policies:
Tuition fees are to be paid monthly in advance, no later than the 15th of the current month, covering the upcoming month’s charges. The classroom reservation fee will be collected upon finalization of the schedule and is non-refundable.
Cancellation and Reschedule Policy:
For 1:1 Private Sessions:
If you provide at least 2 days’ notice before the scheduled lesson, the full instructional fee can be credited toward next month’s tuition.
If you cancel or reschedule with only 1 day’s notice, 50% of the instructional fee will be charged (non-refundable).
Same-day cancellations or reschedules will incur a 100% charge of the total instructional fee (non-refundable).
For 1:2 and 1:3 Group Sessions:
The class may be canceled without penalty only if all students in the group agree to cancel, with up to 2 days’ notice.
If an individual student misses a class, the mentor may offer a make-up private session at a 10% discount.
